Budding Minds Psychology is a psychological practice that provides individual and family counselling to all age groups. It is a family friendly practice providing support to parents, children and young people when they need it most.

Budding Minds Psychology specialises in the following:


  • Children's mental health and wellbeing from birth to 5 yrs, primary and high school aged children
  • Parents mental health and wellbeing
  • Parent skills training for all age groups
  • Perinatal psychology for families (parents experiencing antenatal or postnatal depression or anxiety, birth trauma and difficulties bonding)
  • Counselling for multiple birth families (families with twins or higher order multiples requiring support)
  • ADF Personnel and their families 
  • I provide telehealth counselling for teenagers through to adults; and family group sessions.

Budding Parents Group

This workshop is an adaptation of John Gottman's (from Gottman Inc.) 'Bringing Baby Home'.

Jessica Smeltink

Clinical Psychologist – ACPA
MPsych (Clin), P.Grad (Psych), BApp (Psych)

Jessica is a clinical psychologist who specializes in working with children and adults, as well as multiple birth parents. She can help people looking for support in navigating the challenges of multiple birth parenting from pregnancy through birthing and beyond. She has strong research interests in attachment-based parenting and has completed training in Circles of Security and Gottman's Inc.'s Bringing Baby Home program.
